Competition Route Information:

Long Route - 18 km

Description:
The starting point is at Artha Park, where participants enter the lake's open waters and paddle northeast towards the area known as Coada Lacului.
Key points along the way:

  • The Central Dock of Snagov is passed on the right-hand side;
  • The route leads into a picturesque area rich in vegetation, including reeds, water lilies, and Indian lotus.
    After approximately 7 km from the start:
  • The access canal narrows for about 1 km, sometimes allowing passage for only one watercraft at a time;
  • The island at Coada Lacului is circled;
  • The route continues towards Snagov Monastery, passing by the Olympic Rowing Training Base.

On the way back:

  • Participants pass under the Snagov Monastery Bridge, with the island on the left and Snagov Palace on the right;
  • They head straight along the return route;
  • The route follows buoys marking the competition/training lanes;
  • At the end of the marked lanes, participants enter the canal leading back to the finish at Artha Park.
